<text>The photo captures a well-kept MGH research lab in the Navy Yard campus juxtaposed against a completely worn-down warehouse. It shows both the amount of investment Charlestown has put into the area near MGH's Navy Yard campus recently, including the new apartment complex that isn't in the photo, but also the freshness of this investment project, as there's still this beat up warehouse that pedestrians find aesthetically unpleasing, also triggering a suspicion regarding the safety and financial demographic of the neighborhood.

The map shows the financial demographic of Navy Yard/MGH and the more residential neighborhood on the opposite side of Route 1 closer to Bunker Hill monument. It illustrates the vast difference between the Navy Yard area and the residential area, portraying the consequence of heavy investing in the Navy Yard/MGH area compared to the Bunker Hill/Chestnut St. area, as the former is clearly more suited for visitors while the latter does not even host much of a presence of its local residents, and the latter also where Winthrop Park, an old park without much upkeep.</text>

For my map on Social Explorer, I choose to look at the houses that were listed above 1 million dollars. I choose this because since my indicator was nice cars (BMWs, Mercedes, etc.), I thought that these cars would have to most likely correlate to nice homes, and I think my map that I choose shows this correlation. As noted in my paper, all of the nice cars were going to and coming from the side street and as you can see from the map, all of the homes above 1 million dollars seemed to be clustered around these side streets between the main drags. </text>

However, after my walk and visit to the South End I realized that this is not the case, but it made me love the South End even more.
</text>
